Benefits of Technology to Internal body Systems

There are many forms of technologies that have helped us learn more about our internal body systems.Without these technologies, there would have been many lives lost. Technology has allowed us to learn about diseases(such as cancer) early on oin life so that it can be prevented. It has in a way given human their lives back, they are able to fixc their problems because technology was used to detect their problems and created a pathway to fix that problem. Some medical techonologies that have helped us learn about out internal bodies are MRI, xrays, and the canadian invention of the heart pacemaker.

MRI stands for magnetic resource imaging. The MRI scan is a radiology techinique that uses magnetism, waves and computers to create pictures of the body structures. MRI scans have a moving bed which the pateint lies down on. The bed then moves under the tube which is surrounded by a circular magnet. The MRI then creates a magnetic field, and then recieved oinformation is sent to a computer and a image is produced. MRI scans are usually used for head and vertabrea issues such as, head trauma, tumors, or spinal chord problems.

A pacemaker is a small device placed in your heart or abdomen to help control the rythym of the heart. It uses electronic pulses to help control the heart pulses. It is often used to treat arrhythmias which is the problem dealing with the heart rate. It can relieve symptoms such as fatigue, and fainting. This helps doctors learn more about an induviuals heart, by analyzing the heart rate with this device.

An Xray is a medical test that helps doctors diagnose and treat medical conditions. It involes exposing the body to a smal dose of ionizing radiation to produce the pictures. Some examples are bone fractures, and searched for injuries. It is probably on the oldest and most frequent way of producing pictures of the body.
