The world of genetics has now gone far into their research that there are now DESIGNER BABIES. These babies are called 'designer babies' because they are born in to the world with already known medical information and cosmetic expectations.
Parents can pick out their childs eye colour, hair colour, sex and other physical atrributes. This is the cosmetic view of designer babies. In the United States of America, Dr. Steinberg has tested the deisigner abbay attempt with the scandinavian heritage claiming they have the most pure gene pool. I personally do not think you should choose how a child sshould look. You can take away the baby's innocence. Usually a baby is born and it has no expectations, it is just loved. But with this designer baby processa the baby is born into the world expectign to look liek something and somewhat act like something, it is baby with expectations. How can you lets a life that is not even one minute old in to the world, and expect something so big of it?
Most encourage the designer baby process due to its benefits of the medical world. Through the designer baby process, A techonology process called PGD has been used to screen embryos and prevent diseases in the upcoming child. This process prevents the child from having diseases that might be passed onto them. By doing this process, many lives of innocent people have been saves. They do not suffer throught diseases that can ranges from mild to deadly, they are not affected in a negative way and are healthy as possible.
A sucess in the designer baby situation would be with the UK couple Michelle and Jayson Whitaker and their child Jamie. Jamie was gone through this proces to help save the life of his sibling. The couple was insipred by the story of Adam Nash who saved the life of his siter Molly who was suffering from lukiemia. Adam Nash saved his sister by giving the possibility of having a bone marrow.
